Echo Lake Families,

What an incredible Back to School Night! We heard from Principal Gonzalez, were introduced to the teaching and support staff, learned about all of the things that the PTA does for our children and community, and even had a chance to shop for spiritwear swag like custom ELES coloring books and squishy keychains. One of my absolute favorite parts of BTSN is being able to visit my child's classroom and see what they spend most of their day seeing - sitting in the students' chairs, envisioning their classmates around them, and listening to their teachers explain 'a day in the life'.

By stepping out and volunteering for the PTA in whatever way makes sense for you, you step into that world - not only do you level all of us up with your involvement, but you become part of the world that your kid(s) are immersed in every single weekday.

I encourage each one of you to review our ELES Parents Guide to the PTA. Pages 4 and 8 both have snapshots of activities, events, and other ways that we can make a difference at Echo Lake. Pick just one thing from these pages and reach out to see how you can get involved, even if it's "just" coordinating a signup genius or volunteering an hour of your time to work a table during an event.
